Richard Thomas (Operations Director)

A qualifed teacher, Richard left school senior leadership in 2007. Responsibilities include liaising with schools to promote Woodfield House, planning innovative and exciting new initiatives and overseeing the delivery of all activity days, residentials and enrichment programmes.  Richard spends most of his time visiting schools, meeting with Headteachers, business managers and parents to ensure that our schools and their pupils get the very best experience at Woodfiled House. Occasionally, when he can step away, he may be found somewhere under a tree cooking sausages on a campfire with some of your visiting children!
When not working Richard’s times is spent with his wife Fran and 4 children Olive 7, Nancy 6, Peggy 4 and Ted 2.  Richard enjoys spending time in France and when his ageing body lets him, he still plays rugby and cycles.  In June 2017 Richard organised and completed The National Three Peaks Challenge, conquering Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in under 24 hours!
