ENRICHMENT PROGRAMMES

A series of days at Woodfield House can be booked on an on-going basis for the academic year or for some of the year. Pupils can develop their skills over a period of time as Woodfield House can accommodate groups all year round.

JASS

Junior Award Scheme for Schools (JASS) is a progressive learning programme for young people which has been designed to recognise wider achievement. A key aim has been to meet the challenges of the transition from primary to secondary but in practice it can be used at either level as well as with wider age groups in Additional Support Need settings. The objectives of the JASS programme are aligned with the wider learning objectives of the Curriculum for Excellence, The Outdoor Challenge, and the National Curriculum, making it easy to run alongside and incorporate existing curricular activities.

RESIDENTIAL

We provide one or two nights residential under canvas. As we are on the site of Wolverley Church of England Secondary School we have a canteen for breakfast, lunch and dinner and shower facilities in the Sports Complex. We offer numerous activities in each day as well as evening entertainment and games.

CLUBS

Afternoon and after-school Skiing, Bouldering and Archery clubs can be booked for a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 12 pupils. The dry ski slope, indoor bouldering wall and archery range provide a great opportunity to experience Skiing and Bouldering and offer a chance to develop skills over a course of 6 to 10 weeks. A qualified instructor and all equipment are provided on site.

Activity DAYS

Activity days offer schools the opportunity to bring a group of pupils up to experience Woodfield House for the day. The day can have a particular theme that the school would like to endorse, for example team building, leadership skills or creative thinking. Particular activities can be requested during bookings.

STAFF INSET DAYS

Whole staff or small groups can attend for a day where the conference room can be used for meetings and the Outdoor Centre can be used for team building activities.
